Aims and Objectives

The Association was founded in the year 1963 and currently has a membership of about 1100 Certified Registered Anesthetists (CRAs) from all the ten regions of Ghana.

 

MISSION

  • To secure the well-being of all Certified Registered Anaesthetists (CRAs) through healthy engagement with employers and Collaborate with other stake holders to play the leading role in making surgery safe through provision of safe anaesthesia services.

 

VISION

  • To organize and bring all CRAs home and abroad under one umbrella and also providing competent Anaesthesia services to all for national development

  • Integrity, discipline, competence, innovation, resourcefullness, excellence and patient oriented professionals, providing anaesthesia services.

 

OBJECTIVES         

  • To bring together all Certified Registered Anaesthetists in and outside Ghana to provide a common forum to deliberate on matters concerning the membership and anaesthesia practice
  • To generate among the Certified Registered Anaesthetists, selflessness and professionalism.
  • To take up matters so discussed with the appropriate agency/ authority in and outside Ghana, for the progress of Anaesthesia and the mutual benefit of the members of the Union.
  • To unite all practicing, non-practicing and student Anaesthetists in and outside Ghana.
  • To provide a medium by which interest in anaesthesia shall be generated, promoted and sustained among all Certified Registered Anaesthetists in and outside the country.
  • To meet, deliberate and formulate plans and measures, deemed suitable and appropriate to advance the progress of all CRAs and the profession.
  • To help the certified registered Anaesthetist training schools in the country, consistently maintain the high academic and moral standards for which the schools are noted for.
